so many podcasts to pick from

You decide to give podcasts a try. Opening up your podcast app, that’s Spotify for me, you click over to the podcasts section and are flooded with hundreds of podcasts. The choice to pick one becomes overwhelming. Will it be worth my time? Is this what I want to listen to? Who are these people?

Lets face it, the podcast industry has seen a boom over the last few years and it seems like everyone and their aunt have bought themselves a microphone and started their own podcast. It can be difficult to navigate what’s out there and can even be off putting, at least that’s what I felt before I became a podcast girly.

I love a good podcast session when I am in a rut or going on one of my hot girl walks. I treat them like my personal daily affirmations, and they instantly boost my mood and productivity for the day! Depending on what you like to listen to, what captures your attention and what makes you feel good I definitely recommend trying out at least three different podcasts in your chosen genres and listen to one episode each. It may turn out that you like all three and end up with a great rotation system, or you could struggle to get through the first 10 minutes and move on to the next. Hopefully within the three you pick at least one will be good, if not repeat the process until you strike gold – everything is easier to handle when in threes.

Personally I listen to podcasts revolving around managing your finances and improving your mindset, if that sounds like your areas of interest take a look at my recommendations below!

The Baddie B Mindset by Stephanie Madera – My all time favourite podcast to listen to when I am on my hot girl walks. Stephanie has a beautiful way of describing mindset shifts and putting it into the listeners perspective. It doesn’t feel like Stephanie is talking at you, rather to you like you were having a Facetime call.

Just Glow With It by Jasmine Shah – This podcast was one of the first self-help podcasts I came across. Jasmine always shares useful ways to glow up and make the most out of your life. I love the refreshingly new perspective I get and how the focus is on loving yourself and nurturing your life.

Your Manifesting Bestie by Flora Szivos – The best in the game! Flora provides so many different ways to manifest. Each episode goes in depth on one specific avenue of manifesting, for example the Law of Vibration, and spends 30 minutes talking about the topic. I love this because I found so many podcast hosts would go off on a tangent and not discuss what was in the title of the episode causing me to lose interest and not stick around.

Pennie To Pounds Podcast by Kia Commodore – Kia boats a wealth of knowledge when it comes to money and I find that with every episode I am always learning something new! The guests that come on the show are from all walks of life, sharing their different stories and journeys which is a great way to cover varying circumstances when it comes to finances. I love that Kia talks about money in different perspectives, not just how to save and how to get good credit scores.

Bad With Money by Gabe Dunn – Rewinding back almost 7 years now this was the first podcast I ever listened to that stuck with me. Back then I knew little about money, what I should be doing with it and what was actually out there in the world of finance. Gabe’s perspective on how they navigated finances hit home and resonated with me, I felt like we were on the same boat. Being able to make your listener feel seen through a podcast is an amazing skill, and thanks to this podcast I started to create a financial plan for my life and improve it massively!

If you give these podcasts a go drop a comment below on what you think! Don’t be shy to share your recommendations too, I love to find out what people are listening to.
